Matthew L. Schultz
Chief Executive Officer
Financial Advisor

Matthew is the Chief Executive Officer of 83rd St. Wealth Management.  He manages client relationships and assets.  He is also the money manager for our fund, the Washtenaw Trust LLC.

Matthew became a registered representative in 2002.  He began his career during his 3 years at the Chicago Board Options Exchange with Knight Execution Partners (2000-2003).  After 6 years at JP Morgan Chase and 5 more at Wells Fargo, Matthew left behind his broker's license and formed 83rd Street Wealth Management with his colleague Robert W. Burns to gain access to a broader array of investment vehicles for his clients.  

Matthew employs several different investment strategies from extremely complex to wonderfully simple to meet his clients' individual needs.  Matthew lives in Hoffman Estates with his wife, Mishel and their two children.  When not trading, Matthew enjoys fishing, coaching baseball, and watching Chicago sports.  



Robert W. Burns
Chief Operating Officer

Bob is the Chief Operating Officer of 83rd St. Wealth Management, LLC, focusing on the daily activities of running and managing a financial services firm.

Bob earned his BS in Marketing from Bradley University and entered the financial services field upon graduation.  After 2 years in the investment advisory field, Bob joined JPMorgan (Bank One at the time) as a banker.  He continued in that role for 6 years when he left to work for one of his customers as the National Sales Manager for the company's large bank distribution channel.  After 2 and a half years of building out that channel, he returned to JPMorgan in their Business Banking division.  Prior to leaving JPMorgan to join 83rd St. Wealth Management, LLC, Bob was Vice President – Relationship Manager for the Chicago City Business Banking team.

Bob lives in Vernon Hills with his wife and their two children.  In his free time, Bob enjoys barbecueing, traveling, and following Chicago sports teams.
